That is an extremely good point, actually.

As for the vulture being a freaking mini deathstar, yes.
The way it screws up sidewinders is almost comical.
Flies and hammers indeed.

I was also thinking of having two turrets on my python, some C2 ones.
That should keep the little shits off my back long enough for me to line up my bastardbeam I presume.

Not sure about the discount, maybe buy a sidewinder, sell it in the next system over, see if you get more monies back... Some test this! :P

When I moved from trading in the Clipper to the Python it was for only 1 reason...a 2700-3000 Cr trade route that required a Medium pad (outpost). As soon as I was able, I upgraded to the T9 and kept the Vulture the entire time to RES in.

Your thought is a good one though, and I think a classic dilema! I was there myself, but found the Python's trade capability lackluster compared to the T9...I guess it really depends if you like the Multipurpose classes (and outfitting regularly), or having a separate quick fighter for RES, and a trucker!

Main reason I decided to go the python is that I like to travel around when trading - I will often jump 50ly+ to do a trade then another 50+ in a different direction. So when I find a new RES or a Conflict Zone - my vulture is often a couple of hundred light years away - with the python I can just refit if needed and fight for a bit - then head back to trading :)

After some thought and a lot of reading on the forums and reddit - settled on this for my initial build.

Will hopefully pick it up later tonight and crash it into the station on my way out :P
