Vulture - 20 million load out?

UPDATE: Found the issue, my power management was screwed up by having all 3 shield cells on at once.

I'm wondering how people manage to spend 20 mil on a Vulture

I don't WANT to spend 20 mil, but I also want to Max it as much as I can.

At the moment due to power constraints (and if I wasn't on a bus I'd link my build) even with a Max power plant, I can only fit B5 thrusters, 2 pulse lasers, and I think I also have a Max FD drive.

I don't have enough power to use more than 2 C shield boosters and a B shield booster...

So even if I wanted to o upgrade it further, I already have to turn off non-essential systems in combat (cargo hatch, FD drive etc.)

How do you even manage to spend £20 mil? Do you count also the value of the ship on its own?

20 mil? :shock:
Fully optimized configuration took around 10 mil altogether with mine ... including a Plasma Accelerator. A Vulture seems to require serious power management in any case.

Heck, put Mirrored Surface Composite on it and it's a 35 million ship.

I can't manage 5A thrusters for power reasons. I'll compare that build with what I have at home and see what I'm missing. I'm 90% sure I have max power plant.

Yup, 20Mil build.... it works like a dream! :)

Mine is here.

Have only one shield cell bank powered at a time, and the FSD shuts down when weapons deploy.

One shield cell bank active at a time... Why didn't I think of that? That's what was causing me issues.

I have mine set to shut down FSD, Fuel Scoop and Cargo Hatch already, but I didn't think about only having one Shield Cell at a time.

I was even considering buying the best life support and then run with it switched off to gain power, but it would limit me to 25 minutes of combat at a time and if someone did breach my canopy then I'd have used part of the reserve. So I am not going to do that now...

Also thanks to the rest of you who posted a build.
