Colonia Trip Ship

So I'm gonna try to make it to Colonia. I've got a DBX that can do 40 LY stripped down.

No AFMU, 4A scoop and 4C tank. Top scanners and 3D shield. Engineered FSD and D ratings all else.

Is this enough? I still can't figure out if I should just wait and shell out for an ASPX or go for it with what I got.

I'm planning on going the Connection Highway route.

Thanks. I don't want to get halfway and get stuck. I've only been outside the bubble once before, not counting Maia for meta-alloys.

That's a more than adequate build (it's been done in a Sidewinder before the stopover points were installed), but what are you gong to do when you get there?

Use it as a base for trips into parts unknown. Run missions for Colonia Mobia. Maybe try for Sagittarius. In general, have fun.

there are many bases and settlements on the way there now so you can pretty much find repairs every 3-4000 ly.

You only really need that if you fuck up and crash into surfaces or use neutron boosts on the fsd.

I nearly died from jumping too close to a white dwarf in the bubble. Not keen on repeating that so I'm leery of them and neutron stars. Need to practice in a scrap ship first.

Caution is always good.

If you come into the cones while moving away from the star and sliding gently into the ejection stream just before it terminates it is remarkably safe.
In fact it is easier to do with neutron's than with white dwarves since the former has a much smaller exclusion zone.

No matter how well you perform them however it will damage the FSD so I wouldn't use it myself without an AFMU.
