I tend to agree with that. Keep it close and forget going to Sag A*.

I wonder of the more appropriate question might be between short and long. Would you rather take two weeks or two months?

As for slow vs. fast, I'd pick slow. That way people with little time can keep up. Those with more time can do some detailed exploring along the way. If it's not too far out, they can even zip back into the bubble between meets. But as for short vs. long, I think I'd rather keep it on the shorter side. The 3-4 months of the DWE was a killer. I just felt like I missed too much, like the rise of the A-Team.

That's a very good point. I think choosing a duration and then basing the speed and route on that is the way to go.

4 months does sound much too long a time to dedicate to a single trip to me. I'd be okay with 2 months, possibly even 3 but more than that and I think I'd get bored and head back to the bubble on my own. Somewhere in the 4-8 week range would be my ideal I think.

Indeed a good idea, nebulae are far more interesting that the basic trip to Sag A* (which is somewhat repetitive), the two could of course be combined Sag A* via a list of nebulae

I like this idea.

A circuitous route to take in the sights on course for a designated destination.

I suppose the duration doesn't really matter that much, as long as people can keep the pace. If this tour stays relatively close to the bubble, and there isn't some big destination at the end, then people should be able to leave early if they get bored, or join the tour late, or even come and go as they please. It's not like we're getting some spiffing decal if we complete the whole thing - or are we? ;)

This could also lead to people arriving early at each destination for meetups. We'll need to think up some activities. Sadly, I don't think we'll get our SRVs replaced for free, or a free teleportation to the bubble for repairs, like was apparently happening on the DWE. So that would be another positive of staying relatively close to the bubble. Of course, if I take a Conda, I can always bring multiple SRVs. It's too bad they can't be transferred.

Anyway, just throwing out ideas.
It's time to give this another go.

Although I am still working on the itinerary, I wanted to present my idea with a current list.

I am calling this the Zoological Nebula Tour.

Here are the Details.

And here is a more direct list of the destinations (Work In Progress for Coordinates and the target System).

I would love some feedback on the proposed route, and the stages. I will be adding map coordinates for all the stops as well as a Target System to aim for in each Nebula.

For those that don't know about the coordinates:

Sir, I like it, I like it very much indeed.

Always wanted to do a nebulae tour, I like the multistage arrangement, and it doesn't look too long.

All I ask is that it doesn't start too soon as 2.1 looks interesting.

Great Work!

They're all new to me, except the last two. That would be a worthwhile tour.
It's time to give this another go.
