FSS scanner: want to bookmark planets with found locations

Postby Tojo » Sun Dec 16, 2018 10:23 am

Hi commanders :-)

is there a way to bookmark planets with found locations without leaving the fss scanner? At the moment i'm writing them down (the old way, on a piece of paper ;), but this would be a bit unhandy as soon as i go to play the game in VR mode.

I suppose this is probably easiest to do from the system map.

Target the planet etc in the FSS then switch to system map, so you can easily find it again there, then bookmark it as normal.

thx TorTorden, sounds like a reasonable workaround.

I haven't tested but I really hope there isn't a reason why you couldn't switch between FSS and the system map directly.

You have to leave FSS, then open System view, set bookmark, leave System view and enter FSS again. FSS doesn't remember your last location, so you need to start from scratch for the bodies not yet located. I.e. leaves room for some improvement to the UI ;)

Leaving room is one thing.

This seems to have barely been given a thought.
