It can be a bit of a grind without at least 150 in cargo. You will want to maximize cargo capacity and maybe even jump range, as long as you can still evade or kill pirates. I think I had 96 cargo on my Asp, so you may want to look at upgrading to one (as a stepping stone to even bigger ships) if you find you like trading, but just aren't getting rich.

You could try LTT 9810 Whitford Vision buy Imp slaves take to Cemiess Glass City and there buy Superconductors.
