CMDR Blackbush (Frontier Elite II veteran, just bought the game, went on reddit, came straight here)

I've actually been playing Elite since the days of Frontier Elite II and First Encounters in the early 90s. Good to see docking at a station just as difficult as ever.

I've been holding off on buying Elite: Dangerous for some time because it was originally higher in price, and I heard there were some issues in its early days. But now it's on sale! Plus I heard a new expansion is coming out that's supposedly more friendly toward new players, which I'm down with.

Used to play EVE. Ragequit when my industrial ship filled with tens of millions in blueprints and materials got ganked in hisec. As soon as I bought Elite: Dangerous, I joined the subreddit, and learned that apparently open-play had the same problems. Within the same thread was a mention about this server, a friendly non-ganking PVE place.

So here I am. Good to be back
