CMDR ZaynTill saying hi!

Postby ZaynTill » Tue Nov 21, 2017 6:48 am

Hi, I'm Zayn, and I've been playing ED on the PS4 Pro for about 2 months now. I absolutely love this game. I was going to buy this last year on the XBox but was busy with other things.

I worked through the steep learning curve and have settled into a nice groove. I'm pledged to Felicia Winters, keep myself at level 4 for Power Play and tonight I achieved the rank of Post Captain in the federal navy. I'm also allied with the Empire and hold the rank of Viscount.

I have a small fleet and have unlocked most of the engineers and have engineered my main ship, my AspX - The Hieronymous III, as a potent exploration vessel that has combat abilities too. With a 44 LY jump range it has helped me get to all the engineers, get 10kLY out of the bubble and generally been instrumental in quickly getting to and from systems and handling much of my planetside exploration with my SRV. I love my AspX!

I make the bulk of my earnings running single jump passenger missions with my Orca: The White Star, which has earned me a considerable amount of credits and has helped increase my trade rank as well as raise my federal navy ranking as I mostly do passenger missions for the federation. The Dolphin and the Orca are a real pleasure to fly btw.

For combat, I have a heavily engineered FAS named: The Raging Acorn, that I've been very happy with. I love its combat capabilities. The Acorn feels like a beefed up version of my Vulture (The Rabid Squirrel, which is mothballed right now). The FAS handles almost as good as the vulture and has all the extras that the engineers have been kind enough to do for me. It's a fun ship.

I also have a T7: The Grey Mane, that I use for pure cargo runs when needed. It's lightly engineered and the 256 ton cargo capacity comes in handy when needed.

Seriously I just love this game and currently once I finish the last 40% of my trade rank and hit Elite which should also top me off for Federal Rear Admiral rank, I'm looking to pick up a new ship. I'd like to try mining and I'm thinking Python but can't help think maybe Anaconda... so many ways to go. So much to do and see!

I wanted to say thanks to you all for having me. After being ganked in online play, I've been playing mostly solo mode. When I heard about Mobius PVE, I thought I'd see if I could join. Much appreciation for being added!

Thanks again!

Welcome Commander ZaynTill!

As DarkMere says, you've covered a lot in just two months! I've still some Engineers to unlock, and have only just hit Trade Elite after playing since Alpha! lol

With regards your Python or the temptation of the Anaconda for mining... You really cant go wrong with either of them. Both are keepers, although both are expensive ships to A rate and kit out, but both are very versatile... The Anaconda being massively more expensive!

I always use my Python for mission running, even though it has less jump range, less cargo space, etc, its just that much more maneuverable and being 'only' a medium ship so that much smaller than the Annie, in my opinion, makes it more pleasant to zip around in. I did however only recently kit out my Anaconda for mining, mainly since its got loads more cargo space, more internals, which are good for collection limpet controllers and the biggest 10 slot refinery - plus if you think about it, once you are in the ring and actually mining... do you really need to be that maneuverable?

Anyway better do some work... :) good luck out there,
