Hail, fellow Mobius commanders!
I am relatively inexperienced in this iteration of the universe. Although I was an Elite pilot hundreds of years ago (1984!) in a more low-tec era, I've only having been buzzing about the current galaxy for about 6 months. However, I can be a fairly persistent and dedicated gamer when inspired... so already enjoy a large and almost-fully-engineered/A-rated/optimised fleet of vessels. an elite trader and late-bloomer in combat, nearly expert but holding my own in some ships now. I do love aquiring, naming and modding those ships...
Most-flown are the Corvette (battles ofc) Anaconda (explorer/armed transport/trader) Python (proper multi-purpose but heavily geared for combat) FDL (curreently having an identity crisis, ghost sniper is the next build attempt...) FAS (high-velocity/shotgun/brick/2-shotter) and the iCourier (806m/s hit and run combat/mission runner.) Of course, the Asp X is still a fave and comes out for errands... though largely superseded.
Although I've enjoyed some PVP in the past, and may make some forays in Elite at some point, I can't abide the non-consensual terror that is open in ED. There is some fun to be had there - but only by being fast, stealthy and small, thwarting the ganky thrice-damned nerf-herders. By contrast, the games I've loved the most - since the internet came along - were for me more about other players & team/rp PVE fun. Because of this I can see a group like Mobius adding soooo much more to a great game that I currently mostly play in solo wishing it was different.
I want to see, communicate and interact with other people, without living in a perpetual state of fear, not daring to risk an 87 million rebuy to fly my biggest ship.
I want to explore the game's mechanics properly, get into multi-crew, a spot of light RP, wing up and hunt thargoids, contribute to CG's, find some player-led narrative, and generally get EVEN more out of my favourite game.
Only just discovered Mobius... I really should read more
Bring it on!
