Hello there,
After being too lazy to join this group I finally made it... Not sure why I didn't join earlier actually.
After all these discussions about OpenPlay on the official forums, being rammed and shot at CGs and people who honestly believed shooting newbies in Sidewinders is a playstyle, Mobius is exactly what I want.
I played Elite back in the 90s on my Amiga, also Frontier and First Encounters, and after that I was looking for other games with better graphics as a substitute (X, Freelancer and so on), but unfortunately nothing could ever compare. Then Elite: Dangerous came and I totally missed it... I joined up late 2015, shortly before Horizons arrived, and loved it. I also loved the idea of multiplayer, but unfortunately open multiplayer always brings a few people you really wouldn't want to meet or play with. Anyway, I loved the game and once again was able to fly in that good old galaxy of ours as I did back in the 90s. I have a pretty good foothold in E:D with assets for about 1 billion and half of that on my account, I did some trading and exploration but didn't fight much. Many people say Elite is a grind, but I never grinded. I always stop doing something when it's no fun anymore. Yeah, sometimes I overshoot that mark, but never to the point where I would start disliking the game.
In real life I'm a father of a 13 year old son, I'm married. Wife's a gamer and IT girl, so we can afford to be a bit less adult than the average couple at our age.
Fly save and see you in the black.
