Hello everyone,

I'm a new player of Elite Dangerous (and Horizons). I've played around 5 hours in Open Play, to understand the game mechanics. Now I'm looking forward to play in PvE with you ! I'm now mostly trading, because I got kicked by the AI (I tried to fight elite ships with the first ship of the game...).
As for more personal information, I'm 25 years old, living in France (GMT +1) and soon finishing my studies in management (with an apprenticeship at an aeronautical company). I sometimes don't have time for myself but I always try to have a few hours of Space games during the week. I finally invested in a small Hotas system and I think Elite Dangerous, along with some other good games such as DCS or KSP are going to use this joystick - I'm also building an IR headtracking system to complete the setup ! I'll be glad to fly along with other commanders.

What HOTAS did you get?

I'm sure you'll enjoy the head tracker when you get it completed. It adds a new level of immersion to the game.

The learning curve in E-D is pretty steep, so be sure to ask a lot of questions. We're here to help.

and check out our TeamSpeak servers or Discord (voice and text chat) servers to easily chat with, and possibly wing up with other commanders.

I'll read these links.

It's a Thrustmaster FCS 16000 with the throttle. It's quite a good system (although cheap plastic) ! Of course if I continue in simulation, I'll probably end up saving money to get the warthog.

I guess most of you here have very good equipment !

Our members have a wide array of equipment. Some keyboard and mouse players, some game pad users, lots of HOTAS users (all price points), as well as quite a few using head trackers or HMD's.
