I got to chatting in-game with Cmdr Angua von Überwald this evening - good thing the text chat is finally working - and (s)he kindly directed me to this forum.

I'm currently mining the paint off my Cobra in the hopes that my bounty hunter ship will come together before long. Mostly, though, I'm just in it for the Lavian brandy

I'd like to team up on mining outings some day. Mostly because pointing out that 'That asteroid over there looks exactly like Douglas Adams' ugly mug, nose and all', would be more fun if I had company Send me a PM if you're into rocks and bad jokes!

Always up for a bit of mining, I was thinking that if one commander lasers the other can scoop until exhausted then swap for the next asteroid. It will be a bit pot luck who gets what but the extra speed will help both and should make it more enjoyable plus efficient.

It was great to meet somebody who knew who Angua von Überwald was and also good to see the Ü, much appreciated (she has killed for less).

As you are aware Angua is female, I however am male. I wanted a great character name from the Terry Pratchett Disc World Novels. Unfortunately, some of my preferences were already gone, but loved Angua's character so was pleased when it was still available. As I said on txt chat, Cmdr Vimes was taken so he is out there somewhere, if she see's him she will rip his throat out. (she holds grudges and is rather unforgiving).

I did wonder if her sexuality would make any difference, but then realised, as she is a werewolf and there is always a full moon in space, it didn't really matter. Then I thought "I could be over thinking this"

She is also available @Cmdr_Uberwald (unfortunately no umlaut)

I have a head set but prefer not to talk in game, I love I can sit for hours and not have to talk to anyone for ages its nothing personal commanders.

Look fwd to seeing and flying with all you commanders at some stage, I am still unable to contact some in the txt chat, but thanks to all those who answered. I should also say everybody I could contact did respond. Currently in and around Njikan.
