Thanks to Möbius for hauling my old ass in here. Blame him.
I used my old Internet handle from way back in the days when it was just Usenet (yeah, I'm that old...and don't ask how old or you risk being soundly caned up the side of your head).
I played Elite. It was groundbreaking and amazing. I'm also a veteran of many other games. To name a few, EVE, WWIIOL, KOTOR, STOL, SWOL, Wing Commander, and dozens more. When I heard about this Elite redo about a year ago, I followed it's development with a lot of interest.
I live in the US, in Texas (which is actually a separate country that allows the US to call us a state). I don't know how many of y'all are also in my timezone, as I know that many here are Euro time.
The role I'm planning for the game will be versatile. Most hauling, exploring, and mining. EVE pretty much soured me to PvP pewpew, after losing a multi-million cr ship filled with rare mods during a fleet action. It took me over a year to build and outfit it.
But you can bet that I'll have a Cobra lll sitting somewhere, ready to help those who request it. I love hunting down griefers and gankers and smacking them around!
