Elite: Dangerous PvE - Mobius

Hi all! I saw the general call for combat pilots to help out the Order of Mobius, which is how I ended up at Exioce. After winging up with JohnLuke for some CZ tomfoolery today, I decided to stop lurking these forums and start posting.

I've been playing E:D since the beta in 2014 and Mobius was the first group that I joined. I'm old enough to remember the original Elite back in the 80's, back when videogames didn't spoon feed you.

One thing I've noticed is that the Elite population seems to grown a lot in the past few months. With my Australian timezone and latency, seeing other commanders online used to be a rarity. These days, I'm almost certain to find other players in any of the popular systems.

I have to say that the Mobius private group is refreshingly different to most online gaming communities. In Open (and most other online games), other players seem to be there to attack you or be attacked by you. But in Mobius, players tend to open a comms channel to say hello as soon as they see you on the radar!

So it looks like I'll be here awhile. I'm glad to be part of Mobius and hope to meet you out there in the expanse! o7

After a eight month hiatus, I'm back!

So what's been happening? Back in March, I got a bit burnt out of E:D and hung up the HOTAS for a while - it's not the first time it's happened and I doubt it will it be the last. But E:D keeps evolving and has managed to lure me back at least twice.

I also quit my job as a CS Manager and bought myself a beachside convenience store. Now instead of working 40 hours a week, it's 90... But don't worry, I play games and surf the net between customers so that I can manage the 90 hours without burning out. And the fact that 100% of the store's profits are mine to keep is a nice touch.

I recently reassembled my gaming rig and can run E:D again, so that I can spend a couple of hours each night soaring the spaceways. Now, it's time to head out into the abyss and start figuring out all this new-fangled engineers stuff. See you all out there!

I'm new in the Mobius group as well. Kdjac,yager,stokolan,viper and me are hanging out in the Naitis system. Got my Bollocks almost shot out of my viper last night but it's still fun........
