Cmdr Dead Duck

Hello!

Mobius came highly-recommended from a friend, Sm3gh3ad. I'm a 42-year old engineer from the Silicon Valley, California, USA. I played the original Elite on my Apple 2e many years ago so it's fun to relive my childhood with a ton of extra bells and whistles now!

I prefer PvE typically because I don't like to take part of any kind of "griefing". Unless you're lucky enough to be pitted against a similar ship, it seems that Elite PvP is heavily skewed to the person who is better equipped. It's no fun picking on those who are "behind" you in the game and it's no fun being picked on by others "ahead" of you.

Am going to submit an application to join the group. I've been playing Solo almost exclusively, so I don't know how "Private Groups" or the Open World mechanic works. Hopefully it'll add another dimension of fun!

Cheers,
Ducky

Greetings, Commander!

Looks like you've found the right place :)

Feel free to add your name to the In game friend list thread and check out our TeamSpeak servers to easily chat with, and possibly wing up with other commanders. Also, make sure to check the Policy page if you haven't already.

We have a Facebook page as well!

There is a lot of great info on the message board, and we have compiled a long list of Tips and Tricks to help players acclimate to the game while having fun.

You'll really enjoy playing in the Mobius group. Imagine, if you will: Jumping into a system, seeing the hollowed-out indicator on your screen that denotes the presence of a fellow Commander, and NOT having to sit there sweating the inevitable interdiction.

If only Frontier would give us more visibility - then we wouldn't have to rely so hard on word of mouth!

Welcome aboard. -Sid

Greetings, you'll find that dimension is the opportunity to interact with people in an environment of mutual respect, does that mean that every commander you meet will be outgoing, vivacious and chatty, of course not, but it does mean you get the opportunity to say "Hi", wing up from time to time, and generally be in a somewhat more 'living' environment.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome! I am not extremely outgoing and my gameplay time is sporadic, but I'm excited to be here!

Thanks!
