Sunday Salutations!

Fellow Commanders!
I've decided to take a much "deserved" break from my work this morning to both say hello, and to declare my intention to give up my sanity, succumb to addiction, and sell my soul to the galactic devil as I'm sure this game requires all three at some stage!
My time on Elite Dangerous has been short, but somewhat eventful. Firstly, and like many other people, I've had some issues of gaming crashing while jumping to stars and entering stations. Turns out playing in widowed mode fixes this instantly, much to my relief and annoyance of how simple it was!
Anyway, so far I've discovered a few things worth remembering:
i. White dwarves are bloody rude! They pull you in rather quickly, get you all hot and bothered, break your things and leave you disappointed!
ii. Sidewinders aren't all too good in combat zones, or if they are then they're poor when piloted by a noob like me. Also, attacking Feds isn't ever going to happen again...
iii. My morals have a price. "I'm not going to transport slaves...unless it's for 80,000 CC. Nor will I ship guns...except for 100,000+ CC".
iv. Losing one ship is annoying. Losing a ship several times, to the same station, attempting to not get scanned shipping illegal weapons, is increasing frustrating, but worth 100,000 CC and a semi abused keyboard! (remember guns don't kill people! only people using them...right?...)
Goals achieved so far!
i. Humming the Dr Who theme tune while jumping from star to star, because you know...Timelord!
ii. Not running out of fuel. Ever. A friend of mine decided to explore that much he ran out of fuel in the middle of nowhere.
iii. Fined for loitering at every station on my first visit, up to my 5th or 6th one. Legit achievement.
iv. LETTERBOX!
Future Goals:
i. Anaconda
ii. Making it rain with CC
iii. Anaconda!
iv. Political conquest
v. I mentioned my desire for an anaconda right?
vi. Making as many appropriate Star Wars quotes possible while playing.
vii. British Empire II
The most important two though - Enjoying the game with friends, and being part of a strong community held in high regard aka Mobius
So that's it, for now...I've registered to the forums and will be logging on later today to join you guys!
