Elite: Dangerous PvE - Mobius

hello i just started elite dangerous it's my first experience with this type of game and so far i absolutely am in love with it. as soon as i learned how to land and take off in a space station i was hooked. My friend and Reddit recommended i join this community bc i'm really social and love open world games but when i went to open world the first few times i got blowed up over and over for no aparrent reason. anyway i look forward to hanging out with everyone! also i was wondering is there anything i should know as far as voicechat in the game goes? for some reason the social interface menu in the game is very confusing to me and i can't figure out how to navigate it. I should google that next!

Not sure whether you'll be allowed to join as surely your post should have been illegibly rhyming. Clearly you are a fraud!

However I agree, the social side of the game is not perhaps its most intuitive thing. I made a couple of posts here about it the other day when I was confused about joining groups, etc.

Other than that I'm sure someone (experienced in poetry etc) will be along shortly with the usual links and stuff.

Feel free to add your name to the In game friend list thread and check out our TeamSpeak servers to easily chat with, and possibly wing up with other commanders. Also, make sure to check the Policy page if you haven't already.

Yeah the chat can be a bit hard to navigate, but you'll get the hang of it. I found it weird that the friends/groups section was just plonked on the main menu but it works, i'll fire over a friends request now

I do however like the effect the voicechat applies in-game, i'm hoping thats an effect.. otherwise there's something really wrong with my sound.

thanks everyone! I'm googling how to work the chat functions in the game now and have joined up on the ts server, although its way off peak time (7am est) so prob not a bunch of people around so i'll come on later also!

I gave up on voice-coms...

a) because so few can use it &

b) because I play with real sound & www.morow.com (24/7 prog rock) blasting out @ 550w

The ingame com's suck monkey nuts.
Both text and voice chat are more miss than hit, hence why I and so many other would recommend the TS server for commucations it's free and far more reliable than any in game communactions method.
