Somewhat new'ish player here (compared to early pledgers), currently aproaching Dalton gateway in LHS 3447 with my sidewinder and my 57 mil credit balance.

it's because I have come full circle it and the money is fairly earned.

I bought ED sometime in April I think and have clocked just over 320 hours game time (the time since then has been a little hazy, I close my eyes and see stars spinning...)

Been mostly spending my time as if I was on the run, including enough time in empire to get the rank of Baron to get the clipper but not being able to use outposts is a major drawback for a ship that is honestly too good :S
The last few days been testing a python, but can't really afford the proper mods for it, so last night bought over a little more than I could chew in RES, only having enough insurance for 1 rebuy isn't an option I'm comfortable with so sold it, hence the wallet balance and the sidewinder (that can do 20ly btw)

What to do with my money, mainly so I can make more money

Buy an Asp, fly rares, smuggle and run missions or fight in RES to raise enough for the Python, at least that's what I did.
If you're more into fighting, a fully specced Vulture will cost approximately 20 million.

For faster credits, buy a type-7 and earn credits like there's no tomorrow, no other option apart from trading in a type-7 though. A trading setup would also cost around 20 million, so you could buy this and still have enough for a Vulture.

Got antsy, bought a vulture before even finisihing my first post (I do like explosions) :S

Also been thinking about the t7, haven't tried that yet.
The Asp has awesome jump range making random trading off the online databases a breeze, but post clipper trading with "only" about 100t is less fun :\
Probably will try the t7, don't mind spending money just trying ships I dont sweat the 10% sell drop.

Just remember to strip the good parts off and put it back to basics before you sell it. You get 100% of your upgrades back, so sell the A rated FSD and put an E back in it, etc. before you sell the ship.

There is also a discount in LHS 3447, so for example the t7 costs only 14 million, the t9 just over 60 (from 75mil normal).
The python is merely 45.5mil here as well.
