Hey there

Just seen about the group on the main forums and the group sounds exactly like what I'm after so have put my request in to join and thought I'd join the forum and introduce myself.

I've not really played online multiplayer games before so ED is pretty much the first one I've played. When I have played LAN games I have always enjoyed co-operative play so much more than versus and enjoy working as part of a team. Got hit a few times leaving stations in the Premium Beta and Beta 1, no warning and pretty much always from behind so had no real chance to retaliate and really did not enjoy it and dislike non consensual PvP.

The idea of being able to avoid this but still play the game with other players appeals to me and from reading the thread on the ED forum everyone sounds decent.

I'm a big Sci-Fi fan and grew up wanting to be a X-Wing fighter pilot lol so the space sim genre is one that really appeals to me as it's the closest I'll get to fulfilling that child hood dream :D Played the X-Wing games, Wing Commander series and Frontier (Amiga version), so the recent renaissance of the genre has been very welcome to me as I'd been moaning about the lack of these type of games for quite some time.

I live in Nottingham UK and work for a certain large electronic retailer doing second level tech support with multiple secondments to the training department there. In my free time I like drumming (played in a couple of bands but not in any currently), landscape photography, computing, reading and watching TV & films.

I look forward to getting to know you all better and hope we have some fun times in game.

See you all in the black.

Hello and welcome, Rune! In this group you will find the kind of gameplay you are looking for.
No shooting in the back, just because.
And you are right: We are all very decent folk! ;)

Make yourself at home, have fun, and fly safe!

Cheers guys. Working tomorrow and Monday, getting up for about 6:30 and won't be home till 22:00 (commuting is a pain), so probably won't be in game till Tuesday but I am off that day and Wednesday and the missus will be at work, so can get some decent game time in :D

Lol, one of the conditions I have whenever we move is that there has to be a room big enough for my kit. Mines a Mapex M Birch Rock kit in purple so not rare like yours.

I always find it funny when someone calls me a musician, my usual reply is Nah, I just hit things :D

Mine is a Pearl Export wood/fibreglass kit....Chrome finish......

*Going from memory now*

2 x 29" bass.......

14 an 16 top toms..........

20 and 24 floor toms......

14" snare...........

Added......Roto toms.......Paiste 602 ride....Paiste 401/02 ? ? hi-hat.....Paiste china.......Paiste 20" crash/ride......And I'm sure I had a zildjian somewhere.......

Oh and cases with "UK Subs" stencilled all over them..........

I knew Pete the drummer and he borrowed my cases......And cymbal stands...For an European tour....

Which I was asked to do as he was having a bit of grief from the mrs......

But that was sorted...........So No tour for me............

Needless to say they came back fucked.............

Oh and while I'm rambling...Coz I'm pissed...

Nah.... too pissed.......And as I have found in the past people think I'm talking shite.......

Which I probably am.....

If you haven't lived in my world.........
