Cmdr Sazon here.

Played the game from Beta and was an original backer. Recently returned after a break and loving all the changes that have gone on in my absence.

In the past I have mostly traded, but recently got a 'vette and am thinking of trying something new. If you see me in game and there's anything I can do to help/assist then just give me a shout.

Happy hunting all.

Sazon

Hi everyone,

Cmdr Interc Horse here, 58yr old from Essex in the UK.

I have been playing for over 2 yrs now but mainly in solo. Today (after a couple of hours in open play) I realised why I played solo, after three escapes from attempted ganking I realised I want to play with people not against them. I feel I have achieved pretty much all I can alone and I would like to assist like minded players with their in game endevours and actually socialise in peace.

Thanks for having me.

o7 CMDR's!

I'm Commander Bhikku, been playing since 2015 I guess, with long occasional breaks. I'm over 40 and from Finland, and I used to play a lot of Frontier: Elite 2 on the Amiga back in the day. Recently I've been ganked twice, and I realized I avoid places with lots of players for this very reason. I wish it wasn't so, as the game can be a lot more fun with other people. This community sounds like a superb idea, looking forward to doing stuff together. In-game I usually roleplay, but in a very relax way.

Thanks for doing this and letting me become a part of it. -Bhikku

Hello,
Only recently started playing ED quite recently as it was recommended by a friend.
He also recommended joining this community and so far I'm loving this game!

See you out there!

Hello, all.

I'm Soodo in game. I've just started playing and found it super confusing to get going, so while googling for assistance and knowledge, I found a post about this group and wanted to give it a go. I submitted the form yesterday, but did not register for forum until today. Any admin, please let me know if that has messed up my application and I need to redo anything. Thanks.

I chose PVE over PVP for several reasons. Firstly, as a total beginner, I feel it will be easier to figure things out without being shot up often. Secondly, I've never been a huge fan of PVP in mmos, though I have played on PvP servers in the past. I prefer to be able to decide when I want to foray into that game style. I also find that community tends to be more mature in a pve setting.

I'm 44 and have been MMOing since SWG beta, and fell in love with space flight sim games. EVE never did it for me, so eventually, I've landed here.

Thanks all, look forward to flying with some of you.

Hey,

Cmdr WilsonD07 here,

From the UK and play on the PS4.

Mainly play solo but want to get into some online play so glad to find a community that only does PvE.

Look forward to flying with you and see you out there.

Hey :)

Cmdr Lone-Starr in game, just Lone-Starr in the forums. For the uninitiated, the name is Spaceballs inspired (okay, well maybe just ripped off then).

Been playing this since the earliest days, but only recently found my calling - if you will - which is exploration.

Why exploration? Well: I'm rubbish at combat; trading confuses me; mining just seems like an invitation to get mugged by NPCs. Moreover, however, the thrill of just heading out to the second star to the right, and carrying straight on 'til morning, is what I love.

There's almost an entire virtual (for the most part) galaxy out there that needs to be uncovered :)

Anyways, thanks for letting me in. Hopefully I'll come across some of you in game. Space is pretty lonely - a voice in the void would be welcome, now and again :)

Hello CMDR TokenStar63 here, reporting for wing duty.

Greetings from Missouri, USA folks. I have the full Elite Dangerous Horizons game on my PC, but now I'm playing on a PS4 Pro.
On the Steam PC version I only played with a very small group of players, and I now I'm looking forward to playing in a larger group with Mobius.

In Solo mode on the PS4 Pro account I've massed up a few ships and credits, waiting on the PSN invite from MobiusPvE-3 group leader.
I ranked my Federation level up to Petty Officer and it said I was given this Sol system pass, but I don't seem to have one, so not sure if that was a bug. I know how to grind credits in the game fairly well and fit out a few ships, but there's still some things I should try to figure out. Like in the current version of the game, how to get ahold of a unit of meta-alloy for Farseer and how to do some of these non courier/trader missions. I tried out the mining operation in game but it seems like an awful mining mechanic, chipping off tiny pieces of an asteroid and then you need many chips to make one unit of ore. Then the Pirates will surely scan you and steal that ore before you've massed enough cargo to fulfil any mission quotas, specially since you're unable to store your hard earned loot in any way off ship!
