Elite: Dangerous PvE - Mobius

Hey hey!!!! So when I logged into the forums it told me this "Last visit was: Thu Jul 16, 2015 12:21 pm" so that is how long it has been since I played Elite. I was in Mobius way back then and plan to rejoin the newer version of the group today once I find and get the paperwork done. I might very well be incoming with tons of questions. I logged in and saw that I was apparently getting ready to make a trip out exploring as I had only an asp explorer that says it has an asset value of 10mil. I mostly just started running through the tutorials again to get reacquainted and once I get my desk sorted will dig out my HOTAS but for now is mouse and keyboard. I also decided to get some ARX and got the mandalay and Cobra MkV stellar to support the devs after all this time. I am pretty sure I did not do any engineering grinds etc and I remember running a rares trade route in a cobra mk 3 to fund the aspx. I plan to make the cobra mk V my daily driver for now while I relearn stuff. I am currently sitting in Lave and just trying to decide where to even begin coming back. I know doing engineers is on the menu and I think I will be doing some exploration using the mandalay. I will probably trade in the AspX for a miner/trader of some kind but that isnt priority just yet.

Any suggestions on coming back after such a long time are appreciated. I am an old hippy living in a young man's body at age 55.....with my body thinking I am 75 haha.

Reading through some of my posts from 10 years ago.....I do not remember doing any of that stuff lol. Apparently I was working for the Alliance I guess....Hell I dont even know how that stuff works anymore. Like can you have max rep with both Alliance and Fed and be a neutral party?

A lot has changed in the past 10 years I can tell you. I have been playing on and off for the past 10 years. I started playing around the time you left. But haven't played that often in the past year or 2. So I guess that makes me the wrong man to give suggestions. When I play I usually either do some combat in the bubble with my CMDR Morgan Bateson, or do some exploring with my CMDR Doug Heffernan who bought himself a fleet carrier a while back. It acts as a base of operations for me to do some exploring.

I've avoided the Thargoid war and last I heard things were going quite well for us ? But I'm not sure, not into that.
