Elite: Dangerous PvE - Mobius

Hi all,
Pve, once I learned what it meant, is exactly what I'm after,

History
Loved hyperspeed as a kid, spent way too much time on elite 2,
Far less time on first encounters, but still too much time,
Then shifted to the mass effect universe on the xbox, then I take a passing interest in pc game's,
A few days ago I noticed this little gem had been released, only what 6 or so YEARS ago, now you can drive on planets,
And soon will be able to get out and run amok!

As of now i have a cobra mk3 with about 6M in A grade parts, it's not bad but not offensive enough, (beam and cannons dont break other ships fast enough) but I cant figure out any more powerful options and remain below power use. This engineering business may be worth a lookin....

Oh and I value life outside the game but in moderation of course.

Collecting some Barnicles in a quiet Thargoid spike field, when who shows up?
just the Thargoids, is this a big deal or a regular occurrance?
my rover went dead in the water until they moved on.
I infer its a good thing I was not hanging around the structure that the 1.21 Jigawatts of lightning is going to/from.
all comments / wise cracks welcome.

My ability to pass solids would drastically improve....

although... I would leave the cleaning of the SRV to the Station staff.....
