Elite: Dangerous PvE - Mobius

Hi all,

I know this should properly be in the Order subforum, but it applies to anyone involved in this weeks CG.

It appears that we have three registered factions. Mobius Colonial Republic Navy, MCRN and M.C.R.N. Of course, it *is* possible that one or more of these aren't us. but working on the assumption that they are, and that registrations are just FUBAR, then I would hope that someone - preferably Liam, but he has enough on his plate - is working to correct the error.

I'm hoping they can be rectified into a single option and that any who've contracted to one of the other misnamed can then get an option to change their decision.

I am concerned about handing in any contribution until this is resolved one way or another.

Just to make it clear, if you are going out to help Mobius in the Colonia CG, make sure you join the MOBIUS COLONIAL REPUBLIC NAVY ... NOT any others as you'll be wasting your efforts (unless of course you're supporting another faction) if you have mistakenly joined MCRN etc I think you can change it easily enough but do it before you make any contributions. Ta muchly

It's possible that all new factions will be cooperatives. All the current factions are except for the naughty pirates who are all Anarchists. In any case, politics as it's understood in Bubble 1 may not be relevant:

We should point out that organisations settling in the Colonia Nebula will be considered independent entities, separate from their parent faction and any political associations the parent faction has. Furthermore, the successful organisations will be responsible for working with other like-minded organisations to make the Colonia Nebula a beacon of civilisation.

You will be like-minded whether you like it or not!

It will be interesting to see just how this pans out, what with SDC applying for a slot and all.

You don't join the navy; you pledge that your activity in the CG will apply to that group. If that group is in the top 10 groups, then they will get an outpost constructed on a planetary body that will be controlled by a new faction based on the group. As a supporter, you will receive a migration pass, but I don't think anybody really knows what that means, as you don't need a pass to fly out to Colonia. The gist of it all, is that we may get a Mobius based faction and an outpost out at Colonia, which may be kind of fun.
