The community goal has disappeared from my transactions tab. Is this a bug, or do you lose comm goal progress by being destroyed (which again happened because of a game bug....)?

Check your credit balance. Based on mine I believe the mission got handed in automatically.

Everyone got paid automagically. Which sounds good, especially for explorers who may be a long way away. BUT... there's no record of how much you were paid. Unless you keep a close eye on your balance from day to day, you'll never know. It's a mystery.

it was a bit annoying not to know whether or not it broke the next tier (though we guessed it did not) and any other details we usually got with the other CGs

but yes it is a bug - it was only meant to automatically resolve for player's CGs that hadn't been handed in after 8 weeks, it wasn't meant to happen immediately

I was top 40% and got that 4.5M Cr so I strongly assume that the Tier 7 did not achieved before the CG ends.
