Shinrarta Dezhra

Hello,
With a number of commanders getting their Elite rank these past few weeks and then heading to Shinrarta Dezhra for discounted ships and modules, I started wondering about the lore behind Shinrarta Dezhra.
I've been using google to try and get some background on the system and Founder's World but can't seem to find much.
It's the home of the Elite Pilots Federation, but why?
Why choose this system?
Why is the Founder's world called the Founder's world, other than because the original backers of Elite Dangerous needed an in-game reward for backing the game?
Why is The Dark Wheel located there as well?

Thanks for the link Xebeth, though you're right it still doesn't answer my questions.
Basically I'm looking for the lore of the ED universe. I've read up on some of the lore by checking out the wiki on Elite (all the Elite games) but there really does not seem to be much. Especially when I compare it to Star Citizen, Wing Commander or even EvE.
One of the reasons I didn't "get into" the original Elite was basically due to a lack of story from the game play. You had to read the manual and the book (which until now I still haven't read.)
Would be nice to have some history. Put all the grinding into context.

Which novels?
I only know of "The Dark Wheel".
Would love to get my hands on all of them.
