I will start playing a bit with Flight Assist. Seems to be fun.

That's some good FA off flying CMDR - I'm very good at turning it off to pivot then smashing into an asteroid - would love to be able to fly like that - amazing

Thank you! I've been flying fully FAOFF for about 1.5 years (about half my time in Elite). For some reason, it opened up the game for me in a sort of self-told story way. I think it's kind of like that mode you get into with a good RPG where you start telling yourself stories that are completely meta to the content created by the designers. I have no idea why FAOFF triggered that for me.
