Are they any better off than oculus?

When I was doing the re-order it was a shipping estimate of early June, before I was moved back up the queue.
Varies by country, but might just still pip the Oculus for delivery.

Hey I'm Thor -
People call me Bob.

Rule 1: Pillage. Then burn.
Rule 2: No such thing as overkill, as long as there are reloads.

Oh for Gawd Sakes, PLEASE YES. KEEP YOUR PANTS ON.

We don't need to hear you yell "NORWEGIAN FLAG WEEEEEEEEE" with no pants on again.....

Tried last night, seems that having the Steam stuff open stops the shadowplay dump from working. Trying again tonight...

Here you go.

VR2 is a look around the VR loading screen, the Cutter cockpit, and galaxy / system maps
The videos dont really show the full experience.
VR3 is a trade run in the Phiagre CG.

VR is worth every penny imho

The sound seems out of sync, Vimeo conversion must have gone wonky...

Is it really that Twitchy?

Holly hell if it is like that I really don't want it. It looks like you are vibrating. How can you read the screens if you can't keep the view still? Something like this would drive me nuts. My ED tracker is WAY smoother than that and I don't think I can deal with something like that.

Yes, it really is that twitchy.

If you are using surround screens in 4K HD you will be disappointed with the resolution, even when FD fix the issue with the Vive

But yes, it tracks every head movement, a bit like real life.

As you say, it might not be everyones cup of tea. I really like the 1st person perspective it gives.

I have a Single 1080p display.

I would love the immersion factor, of that I am sure, but being that twitchy is NOT realistic. I can hold my head steady in the Real World. If that is something that cannot be done in VR then that is a deal breaker. Even with my ED Tracker set 1 to 1 movement and then multiply that by 10 it is not as shaky as what I saw in the videos.

But there are no adjustments that you can change at all is what I understand from you, is that correct?

Also, do you get forward/backward and Side to Side movement as one would get leaning in RR (Real Reality :P )?

Looks great!

Loriath and Darwin; are you two talking about the same thing? Loriath, you're talking about those constant small movements of the entire screen right? And Darwin, are you refering to resolution?

I was wondering if your brain even registers those small movements, when/if they are in complete sync with what you are doing with your head/eyes.
Seeing a VR feed on a flat monitor isn't very optimal, but what to do.

Darwin, can you confirm, do you register those small constant movements as a problem/issue?
