Wow, this is brilliant! Congratulations mate, now for the long haul home

I'm not sure if this is a silly question but is there any noticeable effects on your ship when you're near a black hole? I'm all for going but i'm prone to a wandering concentration and wouldn't want to get sucked in after the 3 week journey there

Black holes are completely harmless, at the moment. No heat, nothing. You can drop from SC a few kilometers from them, and even fly right into them. They look nice (if the sky around isn't empty), but that's about it. See

Thanks Dread Pirate Willy! It's been good to chat with you this weekend while I'm a million miles from home, too.
I agree with Flip, but I got a little heat damage on exit from Sag A* 's black hole and
this black hole that I posted video footage. Not enough heat damage to keep me from entering another one though, by any stretch of the imagination.
