I thought I was stranded too, but under the SRV tab there, there's a 'leave settlement' with a count of how far away you need to be. I went that far away then I had a 'recall ship' option but it took me a little while to work out.
Cool - so that's what that is. I thought it was some kind of "get out of town" timer. I suppose if you try landing too close to a settlement you get a trespass warning. The thing is, I saw another commander show up after me, and I could still target his ship and buggy, so I guess it may have to do with entering the hanger first. Anyway, only played for about 1/2 hour due to the long download time.
***edit - I read that you can request docking again and they tell you which pad to head for.
CTD? Connection disconnect issue?

It's as if there is hardly any internal QA at all at FD ....... oh wait..!

Anyway, I saw all these problems mentioned are listed as known bugs. Hopefully there will be a quick update today.

Has anyone spotted narrow canyon runs? I would love to fly through narrow canyons with my eagle at sucicidal speed, firing rockets after an even more suicidal NPC or something.
