Engineers Component Finds

Over the last few months I have been devoting a lot of time to the engineers and the search for materials that they require, which often seem difficult to find. After a while I started jotting down the helpful information I came across both here and in other places, as I would forget them by the time I next needed them. I thought it might be helpful for us all to start a thread devoted to places that have been fruitful for certain materials. The first two entries I added long after I had used them, so I might have got the information a little bit mixed up, so if anyone sees an error then please correct it. Maybe you have found even better places or techniques, if so then please do share.

As I said, all the information here I have gathered from other people, so I cannot take any credit for it, except to say I have found them to be accurate and very productive.

*** Data Scans ***
Convoy Beacon in Outbreak Systems ( Look for Convoy Dispersal Pattern ?)
(Classified Scan Databanks and others)

*** High Wake Scans ***
Distribution Centre in Famine systems (high pop)
Best place for lots of High Wake scans

*** Data Scans ***
LOTS OF DATA SCANS (Specialised Legacy Emissions etc)
GoTo
NGALKIN - Civilian Settlement - Scan the satellites

*** Lots of Components ***
Dav's Hope in Hyades Sector DR-V c2-23 Orbital Body A5 (abandoned mining settlement) 44.818 / -31.389
chemical distillery, chemical manipulators, chemical processors, compound shielding, conductive ceramics,
conductive components, conductive polymers, configurable components, electrochemical arrays,
flawed focus crystals, focus crystal, galvanising alloys, grid resistors, heat conduction wiring, heat dispersion plate, heat exchangers, heat vanes, high density composites, hybrid capacitors, mechanical components,
mechanical equipment, mechanical scrap, phase alloys, polymer capacitors, refined focus crystal, salvaged alloys, shield emitters, shielding sensors, worn shield emitters

*** Arsenic ***
Upsilon Phoenicis Lava Spouts. System Upsilon Phoenicis first planet.
Look for a Beacon in your nav panel. Caution 1.72G planet

*** Antimony (and others) ***
Good place for Antimony: Pleiades Sector IH-V C2-16 (D2)

*** Proto Heat Radiators (and other things) ***
First, choose the right system. In this case and Independent System in a Boom State. https://inara.cz/galaxy-component/77/
Second, enter the system and cruise at least 500 Ls away from the main star and then pitch up or down about 30 degrees to get away from the orbital plane and stay that course.
Third, and maybe most importantly.....SLOW DOWN! Keep your speed under 100c. Any USS's will spawn right in front of you making acquisition of the target quite simple (no looping around to go find it after it whizzes by you). In fact you may want to speed up for your final approach.

*** Technetium ***
HIP 95640 B 1. Showing as 1.6% which is very high for this very rare material

*** Good selection of planet based material all in one system. Timbalderis ***
Antimony:
Timbalderis AB 1 B, 1.2%, also on Timbalderis AB 3 I.
Arsenic:
Timbalderis AB 1 D a, 2.7%
Cadmium:
Timbalderis AB 1 B, 1.6%, also on Timbalderis AB 1 F
Mercury:
Timbalderis B 1, 1.7%
Molybdenum:
Timbalderis AB 1 B, C, D, F, 1.3%.
Niobium:
Timbalderis B 2, 1.5%
Polonium:
Timbalderis B 1, 1.1%
Ruthenium:
Timbalderis AB 3 H, 1.2%
Technetium:
Timbalderis AB 1 D A, 0.6% (only found there in the system)
Tellurium:
Timbalderis AB 1 C, 1.5%, also on AB 1 D.
Tin:
Timbalderis B 1, 2.5%
Tungsten:
Timbalderis AB 1 C, 1.1%, also on Timbalderis AB 3 I.
Yttrium:
Timbalderis B 2, 1.4%
Zirconium:
Timbalderis B 2, 2.6%

Proto *** can be found in Fed and Imp systems in boom state as well. You'll have better luck in high population systems.

A good place to look is the Col 285 Sector SU-E c12-23 system. Col 285 Sector SU-E c12-23 1. It's only 10ls out from the star. Careful though. It's a 1.50g planet. The system is about 200ly from Rhea.

Cadmiun 3.7%
Ruthenium 2.9%
Arsenic 2.2%

Various materials, like a Dav's Hope in space so you can bring limpets and keep instance hopping

Okinura, Body 6 Point of Interest: Naphtha-class Tanker.

This is a megaship and may move locations in future. Also I don't have a proper materials list, but it does seem different from Dav's Hope. For instance I could never get conductive ceramics to spawn.
