2.3 Shield Config for Corvette

Hi all,
Really struggling to sort my shield for 2.3 have asked on main form but got lots of different answers which all contradict each other.

Current shield is Reinforced G5 Class7 Prismatic. I also have reactive armour fitted which is thermal mod. What combination of shield boosters will be best. I do Mobius and open as well sometimes.

Many thanks

J

As for mj focus, I now put reinforced on the main generator.
Then maybe one, or two heavy boosters, more than that simply doesn't do anything.

But you can add more boosters with resistance modifiers on, those do work.

For pve focus I will drop my prismatics, and go bi-weave with perhaps more focus on resists than shield strength.

Ty At the moment have 2 x HD 3 X Thermal Resist and 2 x Res Aug Booster all modded to G5.

Sorry to hijack this, regarding the boosters does deminishing returns kick in after the first booster is fitted? Anyone have the values for the penalties for having more than one if that's the case? So what tors saying, they don't hit the resistance mods with the same nerf bat they still stick at what ever rngineered value you've got?

Shield mj in general took a huge hit in 2.3 but as Tor mentioned, the stacking effect of heavy duty SB's took the biggest hit. The experts are recommending no more than two heady duty shield boosters per ship (on large ships), modding the remaining SB's with resistance augmented or or thermal resistant.

No expertise needed really, anyone with beta can tell that the third heavy booster does nothing for max shield amount.

As I had quite a lot of material, I bought and upgraded a lot of Shield Boosters.

My current set up (Live) with 8 Heavy Duty SBs I get 5470MJ of Shields (normal SG not prismatic)
I rolled for 8 Thermal Resistant SBs and 8 Resistant Augments SBs

It seems that the best setup is
2 Heavy Duty
2 Thermal Resistant
4 Resistance Augmented

but I did not test it yet in a CZ

Waiting now 4 weeks for my prismatic SGs (Thinking to get a 8A for the Cutter 7A for Corvette and Anaconda, 6A for my Python and ASP and a 5A for a future FDL or the ASP)

Corvette in Live:

Thermal resistant Prismatic Shield Gen
2 x Heavy Duty
2 x Augmented Resistant
1 x Kinetic Resistant

Ya, for combat on my Corvette I use a Bi-weave Thermal Resistant.
Bi-Weave = Faster Regen. And if you can get lucky, which I have not just yet. You can get a roll to increase regen up to, what was it? 10%?
3x Heavy Duty Boosters (ranging from 2@62% one at 59%)
3x Augmented Booster

Prismatic, from what I read are heavy. Gives you what? Maybe a 200MJ increase?

I have some pretty decent resistances all around. I can get them higher if I work at it.

Thermal 57.4%
Kinetic 53.0%
Explosive 66.8%

I had literally 10+ ships firing at me (Nav Beacon), because I wanted to kill a Conda last night with my new weapon build for Hulls. They had a bounty, just not for the system I was in. Killed it while having these ships on me. And only went down one those shield ring thingies, creeping into the second ring. Jumped right out of there after destroying the Conda. I was thoroughly impressed. I have 2,144 MJ. I also have to say I am very happy with its regen too!

I have another Bi-Weave stored with Reinforced. A regular with Reinforced. In a couple weeks will try a prismatic. Just see how things work out.

I 'can' get well over 3k if I wanted. Which I had for a bit. More like 3.2k. Still stood up pretty well.
Just the regen was atrociously slow.

I'm trying thermo resist prismatics , after 30 rolls and few millions in CZs I have lost a lot less shilds.

Got prismatic two weeks ago so I have no notes yet but the field tests go smoothly

:) " regen was atrociously slow." Yes they are Cmdr Neotropic2023
