Is the mission repeatable?

I realize this thread is a couple of months old, but I'm hoping that someone who has finished the Ram Tah mission can shed some light.

We have a wing of two CMDRs and we have two of the PG/Open mode obelisks to scan: Biology 10 and Language 13.

We can't find any site which has these active. Do we need to have additional CMDRs preset? And which obelisks would we even scan?

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!

Yep. Completable and redo-able.

Stuck at tech 06. Cant find a site where it appears, even with a full wing.

Some of the obelisk maps are no longer available, so that's also working against us.

The mission can be done multiple times, but due to the bugged tech06, you cannot complete it and gain the 100 M bonus for finding all 101 obelisks. There is a thread about this on the FD bug forum, but apart from a "we are looking into this", there has been no feedback from FDev if and when it will be fixed. Pretty poor considering that this is the flagship mission of "2.2 The Guardians".

In my experience you need four commanders present to trigger the obelisks you need. I can't see the first page while typing this, but refer to the online map/layout for the specific site.

My tip would be to set up a separate thread to request others to join in a group hunt of the obelisks. Failing that, you just need to keep relogging in open until you get an instance with four. Frustrating, but eventually worked for me.

I hear ram tah has a special discovery scanner now that tells you if there are ruins within 1000ls. Is this true and where do I get it?

you automaticaly get it as part of your planetary scanners. You dont have to do anything. It was part of one of the 2.X updates. so now when you jump into a system that has alien ruins, if you scan the system and your close enough to planets.. youll see the alien ruins target circle.
