Smuggling out of Sothis/Ceos

Looks like the nerf hammer finally hit. Smuggling missions are VERY rare now, and what few I've seen have all been Tycoon/Elite trader rank only.

Yeah its on the FD Forum and Reddit. Too Bad since I found that Fehu was doing it too, and its 200 ly closer to me and I was already allied.

I am always late to the party. I get sidetracked by shiny things too much. Damn Imperial Eagle.

Just gave this a shot and like rares I don't see a point in them.

it's a different kind of gameplay than we're usually used to (well for me anyway) - trying to slam a Python down on an outpost landing pad before getting scanned by the cops was nothing like the casual way my game normally plays out.

even single short-range smuggling missions were nothing like this, i've done hundreds of those and they feel completely different somehow

it was good for a while but i'm a bit burnt out from it now, and have made my last run there (incl. Robigo and Takurua) - doing a large-scale run takes the better part of a day to execute, and once you start you have to keep going until it's done, or take a huge forfeit hit. the clock never stops once you accept that first mission. that gets a bit wearing after a while.

You just missed out, the mission rate was just dramatically reduced.

Yeah, same here, it was an interesting diversion from normal ED gameplay, but I'm not sad they're gone, even though another couple of days of it would have got me to Elite.

Makes sense. I guess I just have to make do doing nasty questionable things in my regular neck of the woods :p

From what I saw, it's sort of worth it if your trade rank is at Tycoon, as a faster way to grind to Elite than trading, but lower than Tycoon you just won't get the missions.

If tonight is any indication, they have nerfed all smuggling. I have yet to see a mission over 200k.
