Asp Loadout (Note: this is a combat-oriented ship, at least without compromising what your ship already has.)

Tried to do minor modifications to your ship to make sure I don't stray off from a setup you're probably comfortable already. I've tried to minimize upgrade costs but you still need about 6m for it. Added two banks that should fully charge your shields up if you plan to use two simultaneously.

That or you can probably downgrade the power plant into a C in case you want to lessen upgrade costs even further. I've adjusted its power priorities to make sure you'd end up just not being able to activate FSD and cargo hatch while your hardpoints are deployed (you need to retract anyway to jump, but you will get delayed for a few seconds before you can initiate a jump).


I think the others have already given neat ones for an explorer asp and other alternatives. Here's mine anyway though:

Noticed a mistake on my coriolis setup, btw. I only have one chaff launcher, not two, and three heat sink launchers instead of two. So here's the updated version.

Only 28ly of jump range but you can do 20 jumps without refueling plus it has some bite in case of Thargoids....

They have no mass, just like fuel scoops. If you have the cash and the space, you may as well install them. Better to have them and not need them than...

Thank you guys all so much for all the input. I've outfitted my Asp into a light explorer, as I've been wanting to give exploration a more serious attempt. I've also retained the 64 cargo slot so that I can continue doing BB missions once I'm back in friendly space. It's apparent that the Asp is not the most combat viable ship, so I've decided that I'll save up for a Vulture instead.
