Galaxy Map Markers.

Postby IronDuke » Tue Aug 11, 2015 8:56 pm

Many of you will know this already, but for the new players joining it might prove useful..

It's very easy to forget particular systems/places of interest over a period of time (especially if your memory is like mine and still running on 640K). As the current incarnation of the Galaxy Map does not allow you to set "user defined" markers (I remember centuries ago that Google Maps allowed you do do this ), you can buy a cheap stock sidewinder and leave it at the location. This will allow you to quickly home in on a system. It's also pretty useful to set a location if you are doing timed trade runs too.

Hope this helps!

I ***SO*** wish that we could have something like web browser bookmarks in the galaxy map. You know.... click a button, and a drop down menu appears with a list of your favorite systems.

God I want that!

Unfortunately this only works in habitable space with docks with shipyards. Nothing for the explorers out there.

For example - I'd love to pin all the systems I've been to. Imagine zooming out and seeing your path of exploration :)

Or at least systems I've discovered. After turning in your exploration data and seeing which systems you got first - that's it. There's no way in hell you could find a star system you've been into by just zooming on the map

Ever since I have started exploring, I have wanted a map filter to show me which systems I have already scanned.
