As one of my posts detailed, Data Logging is an issue, but there are ways of disabling it. Unfortunately MS has not been transparent enough on this, and enterprising people will find a way to rip it apart and fix it. For most people, they simply won't/don't care enough to do a thing about it.

Hey Loriath!

I bumped this thread over to the "Tips and Tricks" forum.

Don't worry, left a shadow topic in the General forum that will redirect straight here, so it doesn't immediately get lost :)

Updates downloading automatically is working my last nerve. They need to give us back control.

Win Defender doing scans when there are none scheduled, and it re-enabling itself is also driving me crazy. I shouldn't have to buy/use another anti-virus program to get Defender to STFU. edit* as of today, I'm trying group policy editor to stop win defender.

And if I'm ever able to track down the "memory management" error on shutdown for my laptop, I will be happy.

10 is not going on my main rig until this shit gets sorted out.

well you SHOULD have a decent AV anyway. Win Defender is just crap. If you want something good and free - just try Avast or Avira

I installed Windows 10 today and run into an issue with the X-52. In Win 7 I didn't use any of the Saitek drivers or software and was able to configure the X-52 completely in E-D. When I attempted to do the same thing in Win10, I found that the 'mousewheel' on the back side of the throttle was not being picked up by E-D. Scrolling or clicking it did nothing in the game. It showed to be working fine in Windows game controllers though.

After some research I learned that others were facing similar issues and installed the Saitek drivers and profiler. I had a TON of issues with the profiler in Win7, so I was hesitant as hell to install it on my fresh clean Win 10 OS.

After I couldn't find any other work around, I installed the Saitek driver's first. Still no luck. I installed the profiler and followed the instructions here to unassign all of the buttons. I went back into E-D and was able to successfully configure the throttle's mousewheel! All is well.... no side effects from Saitek's software (at least not yet) and E-D is working smoothly with the X-52.

I hope this info saves someone else some grief and frustration.

Never had the issue because I had the Profiler software installed since day one with no issues. THe only problem is DON'T UNPLUG it when windows is running unless you like Frozen Windows.
