Elite: Dangerous PvE - Mobius

Is it worth it to run Rares, or is it just something you take advantage of if you see them? I am loading up my discount T-6 and making enough to outfit an Asp for exploration (maybe DBE). Right now, it will be trade runs and ducking my previous faction as I am KOS for 2 days.
