Actually, golden systems (with all mats) are quite common, but it is usually more efficient to fly to systems with pristine reserves and a high percentage of a given material. Especially for the very rare stuff such as polonium for J3. The body search of https://eddb.io is helpful here, select the material you want, select 'pristine reserves', enter your position, sort by percentage, and use the first system where the distance does not make you flinch.
