Either getting to the sub-menu or the map can take up to five minutes.

I have spoken with ED support who were very nice and tried but...

Port forwarding?

Not sure if Port Forwarding will help, but it is always a better idea than relying on UPnP that is extremely buggy on 99% of the routers out there. It will help with a lot of other things though.

Lots are complaining about the Map/menu lag for a while. It varies depending on the time of day, phase of the moon, what you had for lunch and other secret things. A Pain in the arse.
