Any Federation Here?

Joined the Federation trying to get a permit to Sol or Sirius just out of curiosity but it is taking too long so I might defect and just join the Empire, seems like a lot of Mobius is a part of that faction.
If anyone is Federation and would like to team up please msg me/friend me.

You don't so much join either as you putter about one of their systems and take missions off the board, only missions marked with a globe like icon will count towards your federation rank.
The sol permit is actually not a difficult get as long as you do missions for aligned factions.
Should be among the first four ranks or something.
The only thing you can join in this game is power play and that has no relation to you factions status.

^^ This exactly. I can confirm that Tun is good. Made it from Post Commander to Rear Admiral in two days. Take charity and Data Transport missions. Don't stack too many Data Transport ones though as they have short time frames.

Hello! Posting here because I got your friend request and accepted, but can't connect to send you any message in game despite relogging.
I'd be happy to welcome you to the Empire and tell you anything I can about living and working in Imperial territory. I am a bit of a roamer though, going wherever I see a need or something interesting to do.

Thanks for the responses everyone. I will try Tun. Though I would very much like to try and team up with people, no matter the faction, and always have something fun to do.
Can you go to Sol or Sirius w/o a permit or do you HAVE to be in the Federation and HAVE a permit to do so?

Sol needs a permit, which you get when you reach the rank of Petty Officer, this is the forth rank (Recruit, Cadet, Midshipman, then Petty Officer).
There is no "in the Federation" per say, you just need to do missions for Fed aligned factions, you can actually be the top rank in both the Federation and the Empire at the same time, we are at the end of the day just mercenaries for hire
