A loose group of misfits. We want to challenge ourselves and the rest of the Galaxy.

Our Mission:
To fly our Glorious Eagles in Open Play and see if we can survive. We go alone, or in wings we do it for the glory. We soar. We spread our Eagles. We help others when we can.

Rules:
Since we are born of the Möbius group, we follow the same rules.
We do not fire on another commander except in Conflict Zones, or Resource Extraction Sites.
No interdicting.
If we are interdicted by a Commander, we submit and await instructions.
We don't ever go offensive unless it is in an attempt to save our own lives.
We help others without aggression.

Excellent idea! Should we combine our effords, though? I had started a Eagle Fly Free Wing that seems to have the same intention ... What about merging? Spread Eagles are a great name, we can tale that! just to have one topic for all of us (Fr)Eagle fanatics.

BTW, i had already created an INARA wing for Eagles but had to disband it since one 1 Wing per player ... so i aven cvannot yjoin you. Can you post a multiple-Wing request on INARA? I did already, maybe then we succeed

Considering that I threw this whole thing together after my random comment in the "What are you doing in game" thread, I have no issues of teaming up in any way shape or form. I really don't see this as a group, but an Idea. And one that will get me killed repeatedly It is for fun, and in Open, so I am not sure if we will get more than 3-4 people.

I can't seem to join another wing on Inara and I don't see your wing on there. Did you disband it?

To be honest, I don't see any reason to JOIN anything. Just fly the Eagle under the simple rules above, and report back. It's for Giggles. Not Bucks. Things get too serious enough in the world. Heck, if someone claimed their Sidewinder was some Eagle Subspecies, I would not say they could not join. If they say its an eagle, whom am I to argue.

I think many of us came to Mobius to avoid some of the BS in open, but if the risk is low (budget is cheap on the Eagle) and one is doing this with very little worry that they will lose it all, I think doing this in open is a great idea. Maybe I am nuts. (see signature for disclaimer)

Absolutely no problem with that! Sorry if I was unclear. I didn't mean some kind of allegiance.
I thought just of the practical question of having one thread instead of many similar ones so we have an easier time to band together. My "Wing" idea is in fact just a thread for players with the same interest -- in that case, hunting something or flying with Eagles -- to find other people wanting the same, not a "Wing" in an organized, allegiance-style thing (like the Blood Serpents).
So its absolutely fine with me to use the idea as a "meeting place", just so we have some central thread (why not this one here) and not many where we, again, miss each other 8) And no problems with the odd Sidey feeling Eaglely of course! Would be a honour for the Eagle I guess

As for INARA, I had to disband the Eagle Wing because I wanted to join the Blood Serpent INARA wing. Means it is excellent that you founded an own Eagle wing there, I will join when we can join multiple wings. INARA is just a good tool to find each other.

By the way, who would be with to dip into the Lave sector in Open? As Loriath wrote, Eagles are quite immortal, since rebuy is cheap ... it could be quite interesting, considering what seems to be going on there.

I am going to work my way there starting tonight. My plan is to be in Lave, grab the brandy and be out before the weekend with hopes of missing the larger player base on the weekend.

I am also making sure shadow play is set so I can record all my magnificent deaths on the trip. Or my diplomatic moves that keep me alive.

This is my personal goal. I am up for company if times coincide with others, but I can't and will not wait. This is MY death wish not anyone else's.

I don't believe it. I made it there.

29 jumps. Didn't see a single commander till 5 jumps out. I was on economy to keep scoop times to a minimum. I got one friend request, had an Anaconda tail me from a star about 10ls behind me, and interdicted by an NPC Asp just short of Lave station.

Eddy the Eagle "Edwards" is safely tucked away in Lave station with 2 tonnes of Lavian Brandy in his hold. Me, I am still sweating a little and wanting some Brandy myself.

So tomorrow I start the trip back. With luck, there will be a Lavian Brandy back home.

I filmed a lot of the trip but it will be a boring watch. Nothing really happened.

Well this was anticlimactic. I left the station, came across a few commanders at the station, one opinion another system and made it back with no issues.

No interdiction, no drama.

I did sell my 2T of Lavian Brandy for 20359 cr per T, so I gained 34k on the trip. But it was not what I expected. No pew pew no death.
