Why do you need to change private groups?
A squadron is not restricted to a private group.
The Order of Mobius is not a private group, it is just a group of Mobius players that fly for the in-game faction "Order of Mobius" in Azrael.
There is a squadron, and a discord channel dedicated for the humans to communicate orders, tasks and work together.

However, you can also elect to join the optional private group "MOBIUS FACTIONS" that allows US and UK members to wing up if required, but you do need to be a member of one of the regional groups (AMERICA/EURASIA) to join. Same form as the rest.

I plan on joining MOB1 or MPVE, but I was surprised to see the squadrons were so small, with such a huge community.

Maybe it would be helpful to advertise the squadron better on the join page?

Even if i do advertise, no one reads it.. this week alone I've had 10 'i can't join the forum, but i filled in the form' questions when the join page says they are not the same thing in the first place.. (and as a game mechanic, Squadrons don't seem to work for us as a community) We're not a wing, or a guild or whatever else people try to use terms on.

Regardless, the best description is that MOBIUS groups are a mode of play, consisting of primarily players who simply do not want to play in open, at the same time, want human contact that you don't get in solo...but also not have anything to do with other players most of the time

It's a weird thing like that. We're a bunch of hermits that nod and see each other at the store when we get our groceries but never have a get together... mostly...

There are a wing of pilots that do use the in-game background simulation as 'content' and actively fly for the OoM and MCRN this is true, and very dedicated they are too. They usually communicate via the Discord site (links at top of page) and they can then advise which squadron is the better one to join.

Did Frontier remove the group search? I signed up for Mobius Eurasia and Factions... but can't find the group search ingame.

update: nvm got it.. it's on the "commander name" search bar
