Elite: Dangerous PvE - Mobius

Mobius PvE has reached its membership limit of 20,000 and so has been closed to new membership applications.

On the 1st of January we opened a new group for the America's region named 'Mobius PvE America' (we tried for Americas but ran out of letters )

applications for the group will be processed in the normal way as Mobius PvE has been replaced on the forms with the new group, members are reminded that they will be permitted to stay in the original group when they join its replacement and the original group will continue to operate until such time as its replacement is well populated, at that time the group will be disbanded to purge it of inactive members and kept in reserve for when its replacement fills up.

Hi, could you please apply a numerical value to "well-populated"? Thanks.

For Mobius PvE Eurasia it's 10,000 members, so I imagine it will be the same for Mobius PvE America.

yup, 10k is the aim, i would estimate that figure will take a good 18 months to hit if the rate of people joining is about the same as the Eurasia group, that is closing in on 3,000 members already having had a fairly steady 500 applications a month.

not to 'switch' over, no, but if you complete the registration process to join, you can be in both groups until changeover.
This is a simple opportunity in assisting the approval manager for the inevitable last minute join avalanche well ahead of schedule.

I've been in Mobius PVE group since the beginning, after a very long break I'm playing some Elite again. Should I stay in this group or switch? Thanks.

you can request membership, and when the time comes for the reset, you'll already be in the 'new' group ready to go.

Hey guys,

So I'm new to Elite Dangerous, and I'm happy to have found the Mobius group after being brutally ganked 7 or so times in my first couple days of playing, losing a lot of money and going big into debt to get my ship back again and again.

I joined the new America group, however, I don't think I've encountered a single person online so far. I've put over 20 hours into the game in the past few days playing in the America group but there are literally no people, just NPCs, and it's kind of disappointing. With only 3000 players in the group they must be spread pretty thin. Soooo...can anything be done? Is it possible to get into the old group? I'm starting to burn out on this game after playing in isolation for so long. Is there a meeting place everybody hangs out at that I should go to?
