Cool. I headed directly over in my mining T-6 and saw a bunch of NPCs. I wasn't equipped with any scanners and was unable to locate anything - not even a nav beacon. I'll head back to Colonia and pick up my exploration Sidey and go exploring all the new systems.

If there's an outpost, I'll honestly find that a little disappointing. It would really have been nice to see it being constructed. That assumes I didn't miss it. I'm also surprised to see anything this early - I'd expect just the 10 winners from round 1.

I'm out at Colonia and I see there are a dozen new Player Factions and Planetary Bases. Just spent the last hour jumping around them..."MCRN" must be the next system....nope!

When do we think the MCRN will have their base ready?

The ones you see are from the December phase of the CG's.
We got placement in the second phase, so quite possibly next month, or a couple of weeks.
The third phase is still in play, so we will have to be patient.

I think the bases just got placed a few hours ago, but they haven't added factions or system names yet?

Yup, the planetary outpost for MCRN is there and has a healthy commodity market, but no missions and I didn't check factions, but I was welcomed by somebody. Then I bought an SRV and headed north to see if I could drive around this potato. I made it out of the main crater and saw some very strange shadows on the ground (NNE), with the sun above. I gave up when I got to the shadow dividing line.

EOL PROU LW-L C8-54 is at the moment not showing up on the Galaxy map as a colony (ie Econony/Industrial) The other new colonies appear to be the same. Anybody else? Or I have I made a pig's ear out of it?

Might want to Bookmark it if you are out Colonia way till FD fix it back.

Been dumping all my exploration data into Pedersen's Legacy there along with the occasional mission destination and trading.

on the way out now, about 10K light years out now.

not a bad trip with my "Spirt of Salome" a 41 ly jump range ASP
just won't have as much exploration data as I did with my stock Sidewinder for the Outlander challenge.
