I think I'm going to get in on this. I'm playing ED almost exclusively now and say..$9.00 US isn't really a bad deal.

There's a rather, shall we say "lively", discussion about this over at the official forums. You would think that Frontier is robbing the world blind by charging for beta access.

It's better than the Ark devs selling a workshop mod for $20. I'm not much for betas anymore myself, I've tested too many games in my decades of gaming lol. I'll just live (respawn, whatever) vicariously through those who do.

We've had passenger missions for years now. Granted, they were not exactly "willing" passengers, but still. I'm not a slaver, I'm a human relocation expert.

I had a great time in the last Beta.
My "proper" character was way out in the black exploring.
So my Beta Commander got himself back to the Bubble by crashing his Asp straight into a Sum
Then reborn at base and had a good a good free time charging about in ships I could never afford in the main game.

I heard that ships are cheaper to purchase in beta releases. Is this true?

I would love to get my hands on an Asp. Even if just for a few weeks. I love that wrap around canopy.

They certainly are. I could afford an Anaconda. Can't remember the exact percentage, but they're LOTS cheaper.
You also have access to all ship types, whatever faction you're with.

Now, is this Beta Access sale for the Betas for the rest of the season? 2.3, 2.4, 25 as well? or just for 2.2? Might be worth it unless it is just for THIS beta.
