They're going to start 'something' (alien hunt?) on a Sunday. A day when the servers crap out just from normal weekend traffic. Genius.

I think aa far as Sunday goes, the player base is hyping what's going to happen up way more than what they should be. It's not like we're going to find the aliens yet because they're part of 2.2 and that's, as we saw, mid-ish October.
I'm looking forward to it but not really expecting much other than probably another 'find this then wait'.

So what it's it going to be on Sunday? A standard Community Goal to give in exploration data (which would be great for me as I'm on the way back from the Formidine Rift area) or will there be a weekend patch so that they can change stuff?

I hope it's a patch so they can fix some stuff as we are still months (well 1 and a half) from 2.2 release.

It's just the next clue to the alien puzzle. Probably no major event just a means to find the next piece towards 'first' contact.
But we won't really know until Sunday at some point.

I use first contact loosely as it'll be towards human[player] alien contact.
As we all should be aware by now, they're already here, just 'waiting' or hiding for the 'right' moment to reveal themselves.
UA, UP, various tip-off retrieved messages, Jaques, barnacles, and of course, the GalCop transmission.

I'll probably still be hanging around the bubble modding the 'Conda until Sunday. I was thinking of going out [of the bubble] unarmed, but that may not be a wise decision.
