Elite: Dangerous PvE - Mobius

Alright people.... you asked for it, and now you've got it!

It is my pleasure to announce the grand opening of our brand new, shiny as a Gold Conda, Elite:Mobius Discord Server!

There were many requests for new channels, new management, and a new layout on the existing discord server but we were unable to make any changes to the old server due to.... well.... er... um ..... management issues.

So.... out with the old and in with the new! Please make your way to the new text and voice chat server at your earliest convenience.

If you are a current discord user, please stop by the old server from time to time to let people know about the new place. Why? Believe it or not, there are Mobius members that don't stop by the message board very often. We don't want them to get left behind in that old run down chat room, do we?

Definitely text too. In fact the text chat is used a ton, while I rarely see the voice comms being used.

Opposite from TS then......

Not knocking discord.....Horses for courses......

But voice is better for me....Especially in combat.....Can't type that fast to co-ordinate an attack.....

Voice is also handy for calling ya so called wingmates all the expletives under the sun when they feck up.....

They seem to get the message that little bit clearer......

I dobt have wingmates. So textchat is fine >_> use it mostly to pretend to be social

Kharma, Discord has voice comms and text chat channels. The voice comms are on par with TS quality, IMO.

If anything, I've heard less lag or distortion on discord than TS. I've heard it on both though, thankfully very infrequently.

The overlay built into Discord also actually works with Elite, and is helpful if you don't recognize all voices in the channel to know who is talking, but not required.

Hiya, I've been mostly active on the old discord server.
If you guys stop by and ever need any help with Discord or Elite stuff feel free to let me know with a @ tag in Discord.

A-Team has their own Discord, but as is par for the course, we are all just too lazy to switch. Its been setup for a while as a backup in case TS goes down.

Might need to try it at some point and see if it works.
