Maaaan, I never liked the Viper, never flew an Anaconda, and just got killed by a Cobra so I'm grumpy with them at the moment. I'd buy an Eagle or any Imperial ship in a heartbeat.

Viper lov'n
Actually, the Viper Mk IV is pretty tough and pretty capable. I never flew a Viper until much later. It's the best ship at the low-end, short of affording a well-equipped Vulture, for combat.
