You and JohnLuke are both welcome :) and the Launcher uses the IE Renderer in Windows, even if you don't use IE. It's part of the Operating System, and it is the only browser renderer that they can be sure every Windows system has access to.

Thanks Loriath! :D I couldn't remember which thread I got that tip from, but I knew that it came from one of our resident tech gurus. :ugeek:

I wouldn't have guessed that IE would cause a problem in the E-D launcher in a million years!

pff, I just spent all night downloading the beta and it tells me the client is too old already. Fun fun.
