Yes, same question - as a Brit living in Australia will I be booted to the US servers ??

Please don't, most of the time I'm online it's mixing with UK people .

Not happy about the split, but I agree with it from a pragmatic standpoint, as long as one takes into consideration the unlikelihood of FDev actually fixing groups to hold more members or making a proper PvE mode.

Still, I will probably think of the UK group and feel like this:



Having said that, I do feel like an opportunity was missed here to name the US group "Mobius: 'Murica".

i'm in Australia, but my regular wing friends are in Denmark and the UK, i think.
i'll wait and see whether i can still see them next time they're on, i guess

As Mobius said, if you find yourself in the wrong group because of timezone you can apply as I will to the other Mobius group.

Think this is an interesting move based on server limitations. I doubt it has to do with FD, more with the Amazon cloud servers and their infrastructure.

But I hope FD does not take this workaround as the final say and then sweep it under the rug till both groups hit 20k again. I hope they continue to work on this and the full PvE mode problem.

Gonna be a shame. I reside in the states, but it seems like most of the people I do stuff together with frequently are in the UK. Would be nice if at some point FDev would allow for mixed instancing of the two groups, but who knows if that brings the same issue to front. I guess if we needed to, we could make private groups for easy use between common groups of people we play with. To be honest, now that I came up with that, I view the split as less of an issue than I thought before.

I like the idea of splitting based on time zones... since there is a mid-atlantic gap,, we can send the banished to Mobius-blackhole to that non-time concentric space-time continuum.
